Step 1: In the shower, use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to add softness.

Step 2: Apply a volumizing mousse or gel to damp hair and blow dry with a round brush for smoothness.
 

Step 3: Mist dry hair with a heat protectant spray before using a flat iron to straighten your hair. To straighten, divide hair into small sections and quickly run the iron through your hair in one sweep (so you don't get any clamp marks). Slightly twist the iron with your hand as you near the ends of your hair so you get a slight wave.
 

Step 4: Once your hair is straightened, apply a shine serum to finish.
